Take part in the T1MED study

We are designing a wellbeing app with young people who have Type 1 Diabetes, not just for them. To do that we need people who know what it is actually like.

Who we are looking for

• Young people aged 11-17 living with Type 1 Diabetes
• Parents and carers of a young person with T1D
• Healthcare professionals who work with people with T1D

You can take part from anywhere in the UK.

What taking part involves

There are three parts. You can do one, two, or all three - it is up to you, and taking part in one does not commit you to the next.

1. Focus group. You join a group discussion and help us work out which features the app should have. You will receive a voucher as a thank you. Each focus group lasts about an hour.

2. Survey. Later, if you would like to, you can fill in a short survey to help us prioritise which of those features we build first. Everyone who takes part is entered into a prize draw. The survey only takes a few minutes.

3. Designing the platform. Help shape what the app actually looks and feels like. You will receive a voucher as a thank you.

Before you decide

Please read the Participant Information Leaflet for your group. There is one for 11-13 year olds, one for 14-17 year olds, one for parents and carers, and one for healthcare professionals. They explain what we will ask you to do, what happens to your information, and how to withdraw. You will find them linked at the start of the registration form.

If you are under 16, we will also ask a parent or carer to agree before you take part. You can stop at any time, without giving a reason, and it will not affect your care in any way.
