We are recruiting young people aged 11-17 with Type 1 Diabetes, their parents and carers, and healthcare professionals, anywhere in the UK. Here is what taking part involves.

Public and Patient Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) is central to our research, ensuring that people with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) shape our work. From guiding study design and reviewing materials to sharing personal experiences that bring real-world impact and human insight to everything we do.

We are co-designing and testing a well-being app for young people with T1D, informed by a systematic review and shaped by T1D stakeholders to ensure it’s evidence-based, user-friendly, and meets real mental wellbeing needs.
